Selling my LowBoy HD slider complete with sled, rail ends, rails and telescopic speed rail legs. $750.00
This slider is significantly more stable than your traditional skate wheel slider (Dana Dolly etc.) It will easily support a fully kitted Alexa with an Angenieux 24-290. The hand brake holds the slider for lens changes, etc. (see pic with one side legs extended. Sled is holding steady on incline). The only caveat with this design is that it is too narrow for a wide head like the O'Connor 2575 to pan 360 degrees when using Mitchell mount. A large head with a 150mm bowl will fit no problem. You can however simply "flip" the plate and run the 2575 with no issue in Mitchell- and still have the hand brake.
The machined rail ends have a Mitchell mount machined right in, along with 3/8-16 and 1/4-20 tapped holes. You can use any 1" x 2" metal rail- steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc. Sled is 5/8" thick aluminum plate.
The sled flips instantly for low mode. The hand brake also flips so the slider still has a brake when inverted.
The sled has a native Mitchell mount and can take bolt in 75mm, 100mm and 150mm bowl adapters. Adjustment on the bowl is retained- for the 150mm bowl adapter you will need to purchase a Sachtler 100mm tie down (avail at B&H). I will sell the buyer bowl adapters for less than cost, $75/ea.
You can add baby pins, jr pins, receivers etc- but the whole idea with this slider was speed setups. 1-1/4" speed rail fittings to use SR as legs. Mount is canted and splayed for stability- very noticeable when you go "high." The inner SR is standard 1", so easy to replace when necessary. If you want to put the slider on the floor- with adjustment, simply cut short pieces of 1-1/4" SR as stub legs. (BTW I made myself telescopic stub legs).
