Ok... so our sound guy is asking me all sorts of questions re. audio in Avid... here's an excerpt from his email to me... what do you make of it?
"My main concern is verifying that the system chases timecode ACCURATELY and syncs up, opens X number of .bwf poly-files (or mono-files), etc. All is adjustable on my end. Any format is OK with me for audio deliverable. I can do HDD, CF, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, etc.) With no knowledge of your capabilities, I’d lean toward: no more than 4 tracks per poly-file (let me know if you can import more than that at one time) and run at 29.97NDF TC. Even if you’re shooting 24FPS on the HVX, the clock runs at 29.97."
Thoughts? Would like some info if you have any!
Avid Xpress Pro HD, shooting on an HVX at 720Pn.
