alright heres a short film i made.... winged the whole video, no script at all, we were supposed to have a different ending but the dude that was supposed to be in the alternate ending didnt show, i ran out of battery halfway through so i was turning on and turning off the camera as fast as i could, throughout, and then it started to rain at the end so my camera was getting wet and i was afraid it was gonna die, pretty much all that could go wrong did go wrong, and it shows... we might go back and redo the ending, this ending was really rushed, its supposed to leave the viewer thinking, and its supposed to tell the audience that ahead of time I told the main character to stay put while i left for a little while, but he falls asleep wakes up, not knowing where he is, hence the name lost minded, supposed to look like hes walking around for like a day, when in reality its 2hrs, as i explained when i got back...

and to top it off we had to keep it under 5mins which made it hard to actually get detailed into the storyline...idk gimme some feedback...

I thought the cuts were a bit too quick in the begining. You try and soak the shot in and then it cuts a new shot before we get a chance to enjoy the previous one. That's how i felt anyhow. Great location, big time score with that rusty overturned thing. My favorite shots were the bird eye views of the kid as he walked through the weeds (the weeds in front of the lens). Good music too. Nice job. This will sell no problem as a short. Is there a story in there?

what happened to his jacket?
he gradually lost it, i was gonna slip a 2 days later title in there before he loses it but i forgot, when i re-edit the new ending in ill be sure to slip a small title in there, so people dont get confused.

Yes, I agree. Show more of that awesome looking location, let the audience soak it in. I love Upstate NY, go every year. Great place for a zombie flick, lol!

Alright, slipped in a new ending, i find it to be better than the old one, real trippy/ twilight zonish, which is the point of the whole video. the point of the whole video is supposed to be whatever the audience thinks it is, we filmed it to play with the audiences mind. its for the rod serling film festival, whom all of you know, was the creator of the twilight zone, so we figured we may as well make it similar to the twilight zone.... what sucked was that we could only film the ending in an hour, we had no ideas, so yet again, we had to wing it, found the old tv laying in the woods, and came up with the weird idea. it was 1 pm and the previous shots were dark, so naturally i had to do some fiddling with the camera to give it that twilight looking night appearance... during the shoot of this pretty much all that could go wrong, did go wrong haha, luckily it wasn't that serious of a film... but it came out decent i think.

EDIT: and about the beginning shots, yeah the original beginning was a bit longer and had more/longer shots... but i was trying to keep it short and not bore the audience so i made the cuts a bit longer, because i still liked the scene and wanted to keep some of the shots : ( ... but yeah those were shot last fall and i thought theyd be cool for an intro to a video, so i used them.

You can tell the actor is taking direction from the director...not a good thing. He keeps looking at the camera or at you....Also your letterboxing was affected when you did those "glitches" as well as your closing credits. Makes it amatuer. People seem to always seem to forget this.

yeah, well he was the only person i could get to be in it, and he kept laughing, he is a terrible actor im not gonna lie, but hey, what could i do. and yeah i know, i recorded in 16x9 so there was pretty much nothing i could do when applying the effect... thanks for the comments though!
