HOLY ****!!! I can't believe it ended like that!! Wow, I can't wait for next season. I was completely blindsided.

Jeremy Ordan said:This has to be the situation because he can't be on oceanic, his father can't be alive... there has to be some way to explain it.
I wasn't aware of that. I have also heard and read 100.David Jimerson said:No, the magic number was 65, which allowed a different show to be aired each night, five nights a week, for 13 weeks. So, three seasons usually had you covered.
Shows celebrate 100th episodes because people like nice, round numbers full of 0s.

David Jimerson said:"Jumping the shark" is typically a desperation move meant to shore up ratings. It often happens when characters get married (Mork & Mindy, Who's the Boss, Scarecrow & Mrs. King), or a new "cute" character added (Cousin Oliver, the little girl who was on Cosby after Rudy entered her awkward and goofy puberty years (but, by the way, came out of it just fine)).
Not sure Lost has done that yet, but the Kate/Sawyer hookup was a warning sign.
Probably what's a bigger problem with the show are its 1000 unresolved questions. They seem to have swept the entire DHARMA initiative under the rug in one fell swoop without resolving many of the question which surrounded it.
