Lost Prey

I thought I'd share this ultra short film I made on saturday. It took me around 3-4 hours. An hour or two was taken getting the footage, and the rest was editing. I did it completely by myself, so there is some technical weirdness. BTW, that's me in the film if you were wondering. I mean quite literally I shot this alone. I kept setting the camera up in strategic places very quickly. It's not that serious of work, but I thought for as much time that went into it, it turned out pretty well. I just thought I'd share.

Is this character being chased by some creature, or is he a paranoid schizo? You never know.

The music is Bernard Herrmann, and I added some ambient layers to it.

I didn't use a DVX. I used a junky camcorder from the mid 90's. The DVX is what I'm saving up for, though, hence why I'm around here soaking up information. Go easy on it.

Aaron,

I wish you wouldn't have told us you did all the camera work, would have been kinda funny to spring that after some posts. Oh well. I could only really tell once that you were running the camera. You need to make a snorrie/snorry cam for your woodland adventures!

It was interesting, but the clip was so tiny though it looked really bad when I tried blowing it up a bit. However you had some good setups in there, keep working at it. I wonder where your post will end up though in the forum since it's not a DVX clip...keep an eye out for it!

I thought it was pretty good. the grainyness worked for it until the last shot which was too much. some shots werent framed the best and that is understandable given your situation. That sounds like a good idea for a contest. See who can make the best movie of themself and they have to film themself and do all the work themself.
Good stuff

Nice framing. Very impressive work! Liked the scenes. SOme cutting was awkward, but most worked great.

I was going for a "Snorry Cam" type of look with some of those shots. I wanted it to be able to break away from that "locked in look" though and move on a different axis. I need my DVX!

Thank you very much for the feedback. I appreciate it. I'm going to go out and try to shoot another impromptu film this weekend.
