Loss Of Will - Rough Cut

Jeff. I'd say that this is nicely executed in style.. tone.. and thematically. Only a few minor points I'd say about lighting, paticularly on the car in the opening couple of shots.
The VO is also a bit too "on the nose" and monotone..

Overall though, this is so overdone and trite. Suicide pieces are so just done and so common ground. I know that I did one first year of film school as I'm sure a lot of people have before and after me. That's the only thing about these pieces is, what's the point? It's portentous and rife with self importance and the ennui of youth..

It was nicely put together and I like the sound design but talk about a bummer... But again, my summation is up for discussion and you certainly kept my attention throughout since I'm also a sucker for a happy ending so I keep that faith going throughout...

cheers

good lighting, cool shots, nice quality, but **** if that wasn't the most depressing story i've seen all year, lol. i was hoping the ending was going to turn around and be a little happy too.

what'd u do to get such great flash compression though?

wow, that was depressing as hell. i don know why so many people staring out always use suicide stories.

the VO was kinda weak. seemed like he wouldnt stop talking and his voice wasn't that interesting to listen to.

it looked good though.
