Got a LA7200 off eBay (waited way too long) and everything seems fine. However, the back portion of the unit (the ring that rotates when the screw is loosened), has some “flex” or “loosness” to it. The easiest way to describe the problem is to note that when the unit is mounted on a camera, you can take and easily jiggle it by (gently) moving the lens up and down. Removing it from the camera, you can easily repeat the jiggle motion by simply gripping the back ring and moving it up and down. I’ve made sure the itty bitty screws holding the rectangular piece that wraps around the rear lens are snug and, of course, always sure the screw controlling the rotation is tight. One question is: is there anything like a “gasket” that fits between the rear lens “cover” and the body? I disassembled the back cover as part of the attempt to learn what was allowing jiggle to occur and there is nothing between that cover and the body. Or is this nothing to worry about? Very sorry for long post but how to describe something like this is a problem.
