I never ever thought I'd see my buddy Loomis move, talk, sing or play again. That's to be expected when someone is dead. But James Cornwell (aka Jim C.), artist, filmmaker, archivist of the East Village art scene, found this footage and sent it my way.
Loomis is singing a song and playing harmonica at some dive in the East Village back in the Nineties. He's accompanied by his right tight buddy, James Romberger .
Why post it? I believe Loomis was a great artist who deserves better than oblivion.
The club was so dark the footage is mostly black, thank God Jim had a flashlight which helped a good bit. By fiddling around with some filters I teased out a good bit. It ain't perfect but maybe there is enough.
There are 2 other songs that I hope to post.
