Interesting. I was pretty impressed when I first used this camera. Offered a lot in a camcorder body.
Have you used the HC-X1 and DVX200 together? Did they match up well or did it take significant work to get them to look the same?
I still want one
Just wondering, what are you basing this off of? Has there been an announcement etc?
I picked up a Ninja in the past few months, my Dvx200 has a new lease on life. The lack of 10 bit/ 4:2:2 was one of my biggest frustrations in what I regard to be an otherwise useful and profitable camera. Sure it’s big and clunky and it the variable f stop stinks, but the utility this camera has provided has been tremendous. I love my GH5, but the DSLR form factor leaves much to be desired, to put it mildly. (very mildly) I’ll shoot this thing until the paint comes off.
That said, I hope a new and improved version is released at some point. I’m not optimistic though.
It shows discontinued on B&H now. Historically products often sell out there first and show discontinued and then start disappearing other places soon afterward. The UX180 shows discontinued today.
Altthough I have seen products show discontinued when they assign a new number. That already happened with these Panasonics though. Or show discontinued and then come back briefly before going discontinued for good. That happened with the fs700r briefly.

These two cameras produce footage that is noticeably different.
