Looking to start Orlando , FL group...you out there?

I don't know of any meetings but I have a dvx100 and I am attending Full Sail. Currently in my 6th month working in the DAD program. I would be interested in helping out on any projects you might have.
 
I'm local, with a panny. Unfortunately just a DVC-20 as of now, but I've got lights and sound and a kick-butt computer with CS3, so I'm up for anything.
 
I am 5 miles to the north of MCO, I have a Panasonic HMC150, want to join the local videography group in Orlando area! Any help highly appreciated!

Got a DVX100B, Jib, Glidecam, home made track and dolly, wireless mic, Mac and WinXP with CS4 and Final Cut Studio. Be great if there was something in the area. Winter Springs just north of Orlando.
 
Not much equipment to my name, but I live in south Orlando during the summer. I'm a production student at University of Florida, so I do have a little experience.
 
Ocala here, definitely interested in a meetup. I want to shoot a feature film sometime in the next couple of years, working on script/props/good stuff right now. I have editing/vfx experience, but lack production and camera experience. Would very much like to gain those skills as I'm saving money now, considering HPX170 purchase, and would really like to do some short films or be crew for somebody else doing short films. Own a consumer cam and have an older computer, but will be spending lots of money on long-overdue upgrades soon :p

We should start a group or is there a group on facebook/meetup/IRC/etc? Thanks guys.
 
I'm in winter park and would like to meet up with some other camera guys in orlando. I have a couple DVX100's, editing kit, lights and sound gear. Working on a short doicumentary now.

Maybe a few of us could get together and work out times - locations - content for some meetings. I would be willing to help out or get the ball moving, starting a website... the works.

I have a HMC150 and would like to contribute to the knowledge pool - as I would like to learn about other cameras and techniques.

As far as I know there has never been a meeting in Orlando or if there was I didn't get invited (smile).
 
EVERYONE IN CENTRAL FLORIDA SHOULD SUBSCRIBE TO THIS THREAD! (if your interested)

This way when things start to happen everyone can be notified. What kind of things would we all like to see at a monthly meeting?

I'm down for meeting up but I've been to some of this kind of thing and it can get ugly quick and have alternative agendas.. as long as it's cool people and there's a spirit of openness and possible networking then I'm game... cheers
 
I agree with you Justyn...

Openness and networking is something this forum brings, I hope these meetings would be an extension of that.

There are many ways to go about this. I am hoping we can keep it simple, effective and free!

We need a location 1st...
Then a few lead people to head it up
Scheduling dates / agendas
Sponsor down the road if we need a small amount of $$ for meetings/equipment

does the library, and Teresa the central Florida musicians union among others. A production studio would also be cool.. ijust wouldnot attend ifits atfullsail or another film school. Ultimately this could morphology into a coop like San Francisco coop. I bet you could get sponsors easily.... and it would be nice if its Democratic and poitive. The fmpta is very lame and not something I would like to be a part of. I do have some locations icould use but I'm not centrally located. Cheers and I'm interested
