Looking to rent Canon A1 for 1 Month for Documentary in Africa

Hi I am going to Africa next month to shoot a documentary for a Christian mission organization based in Kenya and I'm looking to rent a Canon A1 setup for several weeks. It is for a non-profit and I am not being paid so we are definitely looking for a bargain.

If you have a shoulder mount and extra batteries also that would awesome.

No one with half a brain sends anything to Africa unless its a donation. Hope you have a shipping address in the US.
 
I think you'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE willing to see their camera go off to Africa. Renting from a rental house would be so costly over the course of a month that you would be better off buying(Not to mention I don't think they'd be willing to rent you the gear if you disclosed where it was going).
 
If someone was renting I suggest a security deposit (for at least whatever that camera costs) +rental fees...

You might, if it is possible for you, buy a good used camera and then market it when you get back.
