If anyone in the New York area has this battery plate for sale please let me know and I will purchase it from you right now. If anyone has it anywhere else I don’t mind waiting for shipping. Thanks so much in advance.

That’s right man the 8 pin lemo. You got one?

I believe it's the same connector as the Alexa Mini but Yachacha can verify that. Like this one:

Personally, I just bought a generic Gold mount plate and soldered a spare 8 pin connector that I had. pin 6 +ve (12v) and pin 2 -ve (ground). That is the cheapest way and you can make the cable as short as the distance between the battery mount and the connector.

Also, Wooden Camera can make it custom for you if you call them. But that will cost more:

Unfortunately the Mini cable is different. The power cable is shared between the F23/35/65. There is Ebay seller will make cable any length for around $80, this is by far the most economical solution. You can strip the DTap off or get plate with multiple d taps. The actual Anton Bauer one is hard to come by for a reasonable price. Wooden camera does have a fuse inside their gold mount plate which is better protection.

Didn't know that.
When I bought my camera, I was lucky that the seller included a random cable with two 8 pin connectors on both ends. I cut off one of them and replaced the xlr connector of this mount:

And tested the polarity with a voltmeter to make sure all is right.
It was the cheapest option to get it done.

Thanks guys I appreciate it. I simply just suck with any and all kinds of wiring anything. I do have the dtap to lemo cable though, and have been running through dtap successfully.

The original AB Plate Sold by Abelcine for 1/2 off for many years are now hard to come by. They had a thin backplate which could screw to the IFbox and then to battery plate. The downside of this plate was no DTap. Most batteries have DTap now so it’s not as big of an issue.

By far the most economical way is to build your own.

Order 2-3 of those lemo cables from eBay. They take a while to get here. Make a 10-inch and a 10 ft. I can tell you the Sony Lemo input on the F35 is safer to use than the 4-pin through the IF box. In any case you should always have a Lemo backup if you are using the IF box 4-pin.

I search eBay for 15mm gold Mount plate, find lots of options for a cheese plate that will connect to gold mount plate. Buy a gold mount plate from the same seller so the screws line up.

I drill 3 holes in the IF box that line up with cheese plate, then get really short 1/4-20 screws to hold plate to the IF Box lid.

I drill in cheese plate 4 holes that line up with the IF box back screws. You need to be able to close IF box lid after the cheese plate is on it, so you need those 4 holes in the plate.

Gold mount plate goes on last. You can get plates with dual d tap. I also found my plate was so tight that my DTap to camera cable was held solid once plate is screwed in. It will never fall off.

I would probably go with a CORE battery plate over Wooden camera. Their splitters and breakout boxes are alright, but I have had waaaaay to plates die on me on set.

As said, the 8-pin connector is getting harder to find but I do know a few makes that can make ANY cable for you. You should be able to find a plate that suits the IF box, or if not, drill in the plate NOT the IF box. Thats my advice :)

Also if you ever want to use the 5v sideport, you have to use the LEMO, not the 4-pin on the IF box.

The Lemo connection should be called 8-pin LEMO B last time I checked, and is about 90 bucks if you buy it direct from the LEMO supplier btw.

Yes if you can get screws that recess, better to do it all from one side, it’s just trickier getting screws that will fit under the battery plate.

The if box is such an afterthought in it’s design.

There is ebay seller with new 8-pin lemo connections cheap, that plug is not hard to get. it is the F65 designed gold mount plate that is gone from marketplace. The hard part is mounting a plate to back lid of the camera. For $80 price everyone should have 3 of those power cables in their F35 kit. Backup Options save the day in the field, having a complete separate cable that is independent of battery plate is super helpful to have.

If plug is $90 you can see why this is such a good deal. Good quality I have ordered 6 from them. One downside is 3-4 weeks to get here.

I am just saying what all US-vendors use, the "official" lemo supplier.

Of course you will have someone undercutting them, but I would probably want someone to check these cables before I bring it in the field.

However, thanks for the link, going to order 3 so I can have a Block battery adapter, a Ronin cable, and a spare.

Purchased from them recently. Great quality. No difference with any us made cable. Doubt there are any us made cables any more.

Nope, you need th specific Lemo. I don’t have te camera with me, but whoever has it, can share the number engraved on the collar of the Lemo. That’s it.
