Looking to buy a used HMC150

I found a deal online for a used HMC150 for $2450 (plus shipping keeps it under $2500 still)

Comes with original accessories, remote, extra 5800 mAh, 195 hours of operation, two 16GB class 6 Transcend SDHC cards, etc..
The seller says the only problem is that there is a scratch on the body just under the XLR ports

Would this be considered a good deal, or should I keep looking? Thanks.
 
I bought a used HMC150 locally last week with 75 hours on it with just the "original" accessories (only) for $2000. The seller was buying a AF100 to replace it.

Why buy a used one at $2500, when you can get a new one for $2669? $169 is worth the peace of mind IMO $2000 is a good deal on a low hour HMC, though.
 
Depends on the history of the camera and what extra accessories come with it. I bought mine off ebay from a DP out in LA with a full kit he had assembled; senn wireless mic system, extra batteries, extra shot gun and mounting hardware, pelican case ect. He had maintained it flawlessly and had all the original everything. The camera part was about 2500. It was a very fair deal.
All I can say is don't be afraid of buying off ebay BUT make sure they communicate details (run hours, state of the lens) before you buy. I love the 150 and couldn't be happier with the used camera.

Absoutely...if you're getting extras, a nice case, and have a chance to view the camera...makes sense. I'm just saying if it's sight unseen, with the same accessories....a buyer should do themself a favor and get a new camera for a bit more money....mmmm new camera smell!
