Hey, im new to this site but i am looking into getting a DVX100b because i believe it is the best over all camera to get for skateboarding, snowboarding, weddings etc... everything. I was wondering why some are part silver and some are all black i heard some are 100b and 102b which i think is fake but im confused? Also Do you guys know any good deals?

-Thanks, Blake

The dvx100 and dvx100a have gray/silver parts. The dvx100b is all "sapphire" black.
I believe the dvx102b is PAL (vs. NTSC) so if you are from the United States it is no good to you.

I am looking to sell my dvx100b with the Andromeda modification (allows you to shoot 720p HD straight to your computer at uncompressed, full bandwidth RGB (4:4:4). However I am looking for $2200 OR open to best offers so feel free to make one! That may be out of your price range but thought I'd throw that out there if you are interested in the HD capabilities. It is truly amazing what it's capable of.

Otherwise check around the marketplace. There are usually good deals there for fellow dvx users!

No problem! Hopefully that cleared some stuff up for you!

The Andromeda modification for the dvx cameras (which is no longer in production) utilized the cameras chips to shoot 720p HD at 24p, at an uncompressed 4:4:4 RAW format, straight into your computer, where it's captured by the software Sculptor HD. The benefits are that it gets your dvx to shoot at an enhanced resolution, can shoot at up to a 12 bit color depth, and has a significantly increased dynamic range. It's truly unbelievable but you have to understand that it isn't for everybody. But don't get me wrong, I love it. It is unbelievable and makes the dvx even more capable than it already is (hard to believe huh? :p )
