New member of the group and I'm looking for work. I'm a still photographer making the move into video production. Haven't got my own video camera yet but will hopefully, if the stars get into their proper alignment and my emails get aswered, have one later this week.
So, what I'm looking for is an opportunity to work and learn. I'd be willing but not quite happy to help anyone out here in the Los Angeles area with their film/video production work. I'm considering it an unpaid internship. I have other paying work so I can't give up everything and work for days on end but the odd day here and there or possibly an overnight project is certainly doable.
If you've got a DVX centric project and you could use an extra pair of hands or maybe a stills shooter please give me a shout. I have shot some video, mainly B roll stuff for some television projects. I've been told by the producer that it looks good and some of it has already aired on Speed TV.
I'm not trying to undermine those folks looking for paid work, I have no intention to keep giving my work and whatever talents I possess away, but until I'm more comfortable using the camera and until I have a greater understanding of the mechanics of production, I'll work pretty cheap.
