Looking for used PAL DVX-100

Hello,

I've recently decided to purchase a video camera and have looked into all the models on the market today. My budget (for camera alone) is around $2500, but as I live in PAL land cameras are extremely expensive here (Australia). I've looked on E-bay, but no one seems to be selling the PAL model and a new DVX-100A is way out of my budget. I was just going to forget about it and go with the lesser DVC-30, but was wondering whether anyone knows where I can buy a used PAL DVX with relatively low hours, or is interested in selling their's. I'd be willing to pay shipping from anywhere in the world. Please e-mail me at the_requiem@elitemail.org or PM me with any offers or info. Thanks very much,

Matthew Martin

people love their pal dvx's, and dont like parting with them. if worst comes to worst, buy an NTSC DVX, you can always use DVFilms Atlantis program to convert NTSC footage to PAL footage. just an idea.

Re: Looking for used PAL DVX-100

I've looked into that, and it seems that there's quite a noticeble loss of quality when converting frm NTSC to PAL. Is this lessened when shooting in 24p?

Oh and BTW, according to DVFilm's Atlantis website it only converts PAL to NTSC, not the other way round :-/

that sucks. i think you can convert because i have converted PAL to NTSC in the past with other things like video games, never tried video though.
