Looking for Sony F900 Scene File Settings

I recently found out that my F900 does not have the current ROM Software to allow me to experiment with custom gamma curves using the CVPeditor, but, I do have the ability to load in scene files via a memory stick and I was wondering if anyone on DVXuser who use to work with or owned an F900 still has some scene files lying around that I could experiment with? I also reached out to Panavision to see if they had any settings from their F900 days and the chicago office is looking into it for me :).

I can't find my old set-up cheat-sheet for the series at the moment and my emails don't go back that far, because I was still using Windows in 2003-2004, but going by memory, we shot with the camera essentially "zero'd out"/factory default. It was one of the first Sony cameras that looked good out-of-the-box.

I plugged in the BBC settings for the camera and it seems to look nice. I'm so bummed the firmware is out of date so i can't take use of the CVP software and load custom gamma curves in.

Don't I need to be able to load custom gamma curves into my F900? My ROM version is too old to allow that, hence the scene files.. if there is a way i can use these curves with my camera i'd gladly spend the money on it.

Hi Mike,

Not for the 900 but here is one for the PMW-500 which I also used on the PMW-800.

Thanks for the share paul. I dont know how well this will transfer over to my 900. I know my 900 does not have any of the hypergammas.. im running i believe version 1.41 or so in terms of software so its one of the older 900s... not even a 900/3.

I wonder if the HD900F's scene files would work on the F900? Anyone from Panavision on here that should shed some light on that?
