Looking for shotgun/boom setup

What about the Rode NTG3?

What about the Rode NTG3?

I used one of these this past weekend & it convinced me that I didn't make a mistake selling my ME66... It was a great sounding mic! B&H has a similar Rode kit: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/573977-REG

I'd spend the extra $100. Plus- you get a coupon for a $1 mic- I would consider the M3 as a nice studio voice-over/ADR option. Heck, if you don't like the M3 you could alway sell it later!

If you don't buy the kit I have an extra softie & boompole...

intersting it's only $78 more that's not bad. The think I liked about the ME/66 was that I could add other types of mics to it in the long run. But I mostly need a good shotgun as I have 2 AT Lavs, and an AKG414 for other uses. So if the rode is better then it's prob worth the extra.
