Avid Liquid Chrome HD has now just added the P2 codec. I would like to see what that work flow looks like. Is there a link to any small P2 source files available? The files I see here have all been converted for smaller downloads. I have yet to jump on the P2 format and want to try things out first. After visiting NAB and seeing the XDcamEX I have some reservations.

later tonight i will make up a small P2 card for you guys. it will have like 10 seconds of DVCpro50, DVCpro100 and 24pn stuff on it. play with it.

Anybody else got sample footage? Perhaps a Panasonic dealer? I don't own this camera yet so this is for NLE evaluation.

Sample P2 footage

Sample P2 footage

I got a clip from the local Panasonic dealer. it was about 850 megs in 1080 60i. It did import into the Avid Liquid Chrome HD system but I noticed that the colour bars off the camera were displayed off. I don't know if the camera encoder is off of Liquid has a colour space issue. The footage was shot fast and doesn't give a good test of the camera. I would still like to see some good footage from this camera. At the point I am at I wouldn't spend any money on one and would wait until the XDcamEX starts to ship.
