Looking for better photo camera...A6000?

I have a Canon Rebel XT DSLR (8.1MP) and NEX EA50U (16MP) but am wanting something better for stills - misc corporate, birthdays, weddings - and also would be nice as a B or C cam for my EA50U and FS700R when shooting 1080P video.

The AS7S/SII and A7RII are not options right now due to price and the A6000 is really cheap and has good reviews.

The Sony HVL 43M flash should work on the A6000 and EA50 and a possible future Sony camera.
Thoughts?

Want lenses do you have? I assume not many, or just a kit, as then you're not stuck in the Canon ecosystem and have the freedom to go where you like.

If you don't mind the murky Samsung future, then the Samsung NX1 is right now the best there is in the APS-C market for not just stills but video as well! :-D

Otherwise go with Sony A6000, unless you want something with a better/wider/broader ecosystem backing it then get a Nikon D7100 (or D7200 if you have money to splurge, otherwise go with D7000/D5200 if it is tight).
