[WTB] Looking for an HD Spec B4 lens under $500

I know this is a major shot in the dark but if anyone has anykind of HD rated B4 lens either zoom or prime and is willing to part with it for under $500 I would be very interested in speaking with you. I am on a limited budget but am looking at getting something better for my F23 kit than the SD Canon zoom I have currently. Most HD lenses I am finding are 800 - 4000 dollars and as much as I would love to spend that kind of change on a lens right now I just can't.

Fujinon XA zoom lenses (B4 20x zoom HD rated lenses) have been selling between $600 and $1500 on ebay. Two sold for under $600 in July. A little patience and you should be able to get one close to your price range. A B-stock sold for $498.

Just make sure the lens is built for 2/3 inch, I think there were a few B4 mount lenses that only had a 1/3 or 1/2 inch sensor coverage.

Where are you seeing this? All the XA lenses on ebay im seeing are in the thousands right now

You're right. I looked in the sold listings and saw 3 under $600. But taking another look, they are all security cameras that have the motors in a box rather than in a hand grip. If you're looking for a servo handgrip version, I misled you. Another option would be to buy one of the ones without the grip and then buy a 'for parts only' lens like this one to get the servo function. Of course, you'd have to make sure they match up.

Here's what I was looking at and didn't notice they were not for ENG:

Mike, in this price bracket, don't waste money and put coke bottle lenses on your flagship (for the time) cameras. You're putting all this effort and time into this gear, so treat the glass the same way you're treating the hunt for the cameras.

Save some pennies and start a collection of start of the art primes from the same era... you can start fairly inexpensively...

That's what I'd do if I was in the vintage F900/F23 game... you can make some really nice images vs a soupy mushy soft zoom with bad CA....
