I got a film. It has been shot, some editing has been done. There will be no profit involved (well not likely anyways). There may possibly be some small awards involved (i will submit to some events and schools, etc.) I made the movie to gain experience and to have some tangible evidence that I am capable and motivated. I wrote it, I am in it, I have edited some of it. I am out of time and super busy at work, plus being that I am so involved it is making my "cutting decisions" feel they could be poor in editing. I am in expert in NO category of film, but have had numerous friends over to view rough edits and everyone is really impressed and feel the story is good and really funny.
Brief overview of flick:
It looks like it will be about 45 minutes to an hour when finished completely. It is about a guy who is put on house arrest and how he drives his roommate nuts, and drives himself nuts and all the crazy stuff he does while being nuts. It is suprisingly action packed. Shot on DVX 100b, so far edited w/ Sony Vegas 6 (PC) .
If an editor out there would like to be in the credits, work on this project for the reasons I am, please private message me. I have rendered a few small clips of the flick and put on a webserver for those seriously interested. It would be great to hand this work off to an outside party who intends to specialize in editing (I do not). As I have other projects in the works maybe this could be a lasting relationship too!!
How to do it?:
I can send an external drive with all footage and current Vegas files included.
or
Since it is all on the time line at least and only the "small cuts of perfection" are needed now I could render and send as one large file.
