Looking for a Sony Hi8 Deck (with PCM Audio)

Okay, so I'm really not sure where to post this.

I've got a project coming up that needs to pull old footage from Hi8 tapes recorded with both AFM and PCM audio (the PCM audio is definitely needed). Can anyone suggest/recommend decks that can handle these tapes (preferably with 4 channel audio out rather than AFM/PCM mix, although I don't recall if there ever were such decks)?

Yes, a digital 8 camcorder will convert Hi8 into a minidv signal you can record via firewire. I have an old one lying around.

Not all of them, so be sure to check the specs. I borrowed a Digital8 camcorder from a friend for just that purpose, only to find out that it was not backward-compatible.

A mate of mine has one of those big edit decks, he'd let it go cheaply probably.
