I wouldn't put that much weight on the camera's hot shoe though. Seems a lot for it...I'd prefer to mount it on something else instead:
This cost 30$ (except for the XLR inputs) and would easily support the LED light/Monitor/Field recorder/Wireless receiver



Or I would use something like this, which cost me 10$ at a local electronic store and would easily support more weight, or at least I'd be less affraid to broke it instead of the camera's one:

yeah, im not sure id want a light AND a field recorders weight being carried on the camera.

this sounds like a good job for a fig/halo rig

I bought that before and had to return it as it was not very stable.

Hmm, I haven't had that trouble with it. that being said, i dont mount it to the camera directly but to another part of my rail system so the bottom mounting on this device goes unused.
