We are looking to start replicating DVDs in our production house. We were looking for a replicator that does a large volume output and is capable printing on to the DVD. What model would you guys recommend?
I suspect that you mean a DVD "duplicator" (burns DVDs like your regular DVD burner, just more of them). I know folks that use the Bravo duplicators with fine results.
DVD replication is done by creating a master disc, from which copies (usually 500-1000 per order minimum) are '"pressed". Companies like Disc Masters do this type of work. Replicated discs are generally more compatible with many types of players.
What are you considering as a "large volume"? This could affect your decision to do it in house or send it out. Obviously, turnaround time can be better in house.
Hope this helps.
