Has anyone came across a digital camera that has the ability to view the image via the composite video output.

All the cameras I've seen so far use HDMI video out but what I'm looking for is one with composite video output. and ability to shoot 1920 full HD (is possible 60 fps) and under $200

any suggestions guys ?

Under $200? Did you leave a "0" out?

and why composite? That's an SD thing... most HD camera's have component out, composite is not a part of any SMPTE spec for HD, so you might be looking for a downconverter, running from memory, i think a used Z1 can give you all that - 60i / down convert / dead cheap on fleabay.. not the best looking images when compared to say a NEX5 tho...

I personally like composite out as the wires are easier to handle. The Japs are brilliant at building cameras but the HDMI cable sure isn't easy manipulate. Like the guys say composite is not great for recording purposes but if you use it like me just to monitor it is handy. I really do not think you will find a new camera with composite cheap but like already mentioned my advice would be to look on ebay.

ok i need to give more details i guess, i make music videos and for my main camera i use canon 7d, last week i bought a DJI phantom Quad rotor RC helicopter so i could use it to take helli style shots, most of the people they use GO PRO HERO cam on the RC helicopter but i don't like the fish eye lens on GO Pro, so i decided to shoot with some other compact digital cameras like Sony Syber shot wx50 which shoots 1920 / 60fps its around $200 (but no composite out only HDMI), now let me tell you why i need composite, basically to watch what the helicopter is filming you need a AV transmitter and those transmitters only accept composite in put, so i need a camera with av connector. those who use Go pro hero 3, they use a converter called Mini usb to composite but im not sure if that is compatible with sony syber shots too.

Get a used HVX200. Around 1000€ though.

Sorry buy you are mistaken, you need to research a little better as there are wireless HD video transmitters.

the 5d2 has A/V out, so does the FS100 - and the D90????

is that composite ? - it is analogue for sure.

I agree that handling the cable is much nicer
