Looks good, I've been meaning to make one of those myself too. I've just gotta make it digital and sync up to the camera's timecode.

It's funny how they can sell it for so much just because it glows blue, huh? I mean, the parts involved are so cheap!

its just a sheet... think of a Timex Indiglo watch. You hook a battery up to it on the back and it glows

The little battery box is actually fantastic because it gives you a little handle to hold onto when you are slating.

What kind of clapboard is that to allow it to glow? Is that sheet transparent or something? Kinda confused here! LOL

the slate is a normal lucite slate.. you can buy the insert slates for about 10 bucks from anywhere... the sticks cost about $30, but for video arnt that critical to have.

The glow sheet is like a piece of paper that I put on the back. it glows through the slate so you can shoot it in the dark.

filmtools.com sells them, studiodepot.com sells them, bh also sells them.

If you wanna be total ghetto.. you can go to staples and buy a white translucent lucite clipboard, cut it to 4x5 and buy some of those little stick on letters to make your own. Still 10 bucks for one thats made is pretty cheap.
