NOt an expert. I am a sponge for learning and used to be in a Band and all that crap. So I have an ear and knack (I hope)!

Man, it's tedious, and a lot harder than I thought it would be. Takes a LONG time to build a piece of music that isn't the same 4-beat measure over and over.

Of note -- you can loop right in Vegas, too.

It's a little disappointing, though, that 90% of loops are geared toward techno/dance/hiphop.

I noticed that! I have been looking at the CD's for offer and I am flashing back to the New Wave era! No worries though...

Anything can be done with the right sound. Today I screwed around and took some Quicktime archival CNN gulf war footage and over dubbed it with actual sound effects. IT was awesome!

Have you looked on Acid Planet? I've checking out all of their music offerings and have come to the conclusion, if you can't find it their...

I am already planning my purchase of 4 CD's of Cinematic loops and effects!

..i just gave away about 5 cds for acid to a freind. i got them from the guy here at soni..i mean sony music when i was chatting with him about joining his band . i wouldve mailed them out to you guys otherwise, but hey john, i could probably get you some light piano stuff. pm me if you like, and perhaps ill send you some stuff.

They have the coolest ****. The electronica is, well, electronica, but I love their strings and cellos and drums and foreign world instruments!

This is a little off topic but; where can one get royalty free stuff either free or inexpensive? I am having a terrible time with having music to add to my projects!

Doesnt Acid Planet offer a trial 30 day membership to access unlimited loops and spacks? Maybe go that route for 30 days and take all you can! :P

Vegas rocks, so does acid...(from a music neophite's mouth...) might want to check out Total Spanish Guitar loops cd: my fav right now....(mind you I live in Spain!) Just finished a short rumba which I would like to share (shameless plug for a listen here, sorry...) Check it out here
