I am looking at buy a use panasonic 100a. It has 184 hours on it. Is this alot cause i dont want to be looking at replacing heads in the near feature.

184 hours is not much on the heads as long as the camera was cared for. Although I have a 100a with about 130 hours and a blown PC Component. Panasonic discontinued the replacement part, thus I basically have a pile of plastic and wires. Use much caution when buying a DVX.
 
Check with who is selling it. Have them garuntee that it works well. Sometimes, you may end up buying someone else's problem.
 
I have two 100As. They are great cameras and good for lots of paying work for years to come. Most gigs have nothing to do with going to the big screen or need super high end vfx work.
