I was planning on using my hacked gh1 for a live event this coming weekend. The event features a number of speakers with most speaking for close to an hour while some will be longer.
I did a test recently to see what the longest i could record for was using an 8gb sandisk extreme class 10 card. I have since i removed the 30 minute limit as my camera is a pal camera had a remaining time of 1 hour and 1 minute when using a fresh card. I let the camera run till the card was full, in the end it ran for only 45 minutes
I then changed my hack settings to the A settings as they were previously C settings with the hope that i would get a longer record time as the bitrate would be lower yet after i upgrade my firmware the remaining record time on a fresh card was still 1 hour and 1 minute.
Any suggestions regarding how i can increase my record time would be really appreciated, if anyone has had experience using a hacked gh1 with larger cards and got longer record times please let me know because if that is the problem then i will pick up a larger card straight away.
