Was the Lonely Place for Dying thread deleted? Moved? I can't find it.

If it was I'm in awe about one of the most educational threads being deleted.

It was deleted because the o.p. for some reason went in and started editing all of his posts to "a" and then proceeded to do that to every post he ever made on dvxuser as well... He had also requested deletion of the thread, but before we could discuss it as mods all of the posts began being edited out.

So, we deleted the thread to try to preserve as much of it as we could while we figure out what to do.

Though, it's obvious that the o.p. has no interest in continuing the thread so we're left wondering it's value to the community now that he has edited all of his posts out, other than it serving as a "lesson learned".

Funny how fast things can turn, I do appreciate his time and hard work, he has educated many people and made this board a better place. Now that I said that I'd like to add I think it makes him look really bad, REALLY BAD for the 3rd grade tactics. A lot can be said for a person that owns thier mistakes and dosen't try to cover them up.

It was pretty obvious if you ever interacted with him that he definitely had no capacity for taking criticism, and often resorted to childish behavior when faced with it, no matter if it was well-intended or not.

That said, he did share a lot of very useful information. There was bad information in there, too, but everyone should know that you can't take everything at face value. It's a shame that he made this decision and did it the way he has. But I can't say I'm surprised.

I bought the "Platinum Edition" DVD of his short film "Saturday Night Special" which came with the newsletters and quickly realized that was a mistake.

First off the short was not very good and the behind the scenes info was mostly Justin talking about how everyone was out to get him. Which seemed to be a common thread in everything he posted.

When he threw the crew on his feature under the bus was when I stopped paying any attention to him. As a director or producer the final film is your responsibility. It doesn't matter what happened on set. It doesn't matter how bad the cast or crew was, you don't air that type of info on a public forum.

This latest stunt doesn't surprise me and you can bet I won't spend one penny to ever see "A Lonely Place for Dying".

I was part of the last few pages of the thread. Myself and another dvxuser saw ALPFD and gave our reviews. They were not good reviews, and I will be honest I was harsh. The reviews started a snow ball effect that started people thinking and talking about Justin's credibility.

dougspice got it on the nose. I dont think he takes criticism well, especially bad ones. I dont think he takes them at all.

I was harsh for 2 reasons.
- Thats just who I am. And I even apologized for it.
- He claims to be an "EXPERT", working with James Earl Jones, selling his "ADVICE" etc... And yet he gives us a sub par product. So how did you think i was gonna review this movie.

Steven, i'm with you one the whole crew thing. I was one of the only people to bring that up and I got pounced on for it. In my opinion it unacceptable and unprofessional.
I'm sorry you wasted your money on that DVD. I contemplated ordering it but, as i read the thread more and more i decided against it. This guy doesnt know what hes talking about. And I agree.... it seems he has a persecution complex.

Dont spend your pennies on this movie. I spent $20 on it and that is $20 more then anyone should ever spend on it. But what helps me sleep is that the money went to the festival and not him. I'm big on supporting your local festivals.

So that is why he wanted this thread deleted. He did not want other people to know that his movie is being watched and no one is liking it. Also, HEAVEN FORBID! anyone was to find out that he is "GREEN" as his crew was.
