I am selling a complete OCT-18 Lomo Anamorphic Cine Lens set, which includes two anamorphic fronts and spherical lenses in 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm. Clean copies of these lenses are hard enough to find individually, and I have never seen all of these components sold together.
Some photos:
I have more pictures that I can link you to via PM.
I have heard from several sources including Olexandr Kalynychenko, the renowned expert in russian cinema glass, that these lenses use exactly the same glass as their vastly more expensive OCT-19 brethren. Only the mount and mono-block design is different.
These lenses have each been cleaned and collimated by Olex Camera Services within the past nine months, and modified slightly for easier use:
Lomo 35HAC4-10 50/75mm Anamorphic Front - Very good cosmetic shape. I see no scratches in the glass. There is some internal dust. No fungus or haze at all. Very faint cleaning marks on the rear element that do not affect the image. Focus turns smoothly and easily. The mount has been fitted with an adapter so that it can be mounted on standard 15mm rods. Screw holes and have been professionally tapped and drilled in the housing of this lens so that it can be fixed to either the 75mm or 50mm lenses by six tiny screws (included). Attaching it this way makes it feel sturdier like the OCT-19 BAS versions of this lens.
Lomo OKC1-75-1 75mm f/2.4 Spherical Lens (attaches to the Lomo 35HAC4-10 50/75mm Anamorphic Front) - Lens body has very little wear. Glass is in wonderful condition. No scratches, fungus or haze. Aperture is responsive and free of oil (checked from both front and rear). Focus ring is smooth and easy. Six small divots have been professionally made in the housing to receive the screws when locking this lens to the anamorphic front.
Ekran OKC-50-14 50mm f/2.5 Spherical Lens (attaches to Lomo 35HAC4-10 50/75mm Anamorphic Front) - Lens body has little wear. Glass appears to be in great condition. No scratches, fungus, or haze. Aperture is free of oil. Both focus and aperture turn smoothly and easily. Six small divots were made in the housing for the reasons mentioned above.
Lomo 35HAC10-3 35mm Anamorphic Front - Wonderful cosmetic shape. Front element is free of scratches. No fungus or haze. However, there is a small imperfection in the rear element. There is a tiny chip in the glass (see pictures). From my time with it, I have never seen it affect any of my shots or show up in the bokeh. Focus turns smoothly. The mount has been fitted with an adapter so that it can be mounted on standard 15mm rods. Front cap included.
Lomo OKC1-35-1 35mm f/2.5 (attaches to Lomo 35HAC10-3 35mm Anamorphic Front) - Very good cosmetic shape. There does not appear to be oil on the blades. No fungus or haze. There are some slight cleaning marks on the rear element, though not enough to affect the image. Aperture and focus are both very smooth.
Also included with this set:
- OCT-18 to Micro Four Thirds Adapter (with focusing pin) by Ciecio7 - For use with Gh2, GH3, AF100, AF101 or BlackMagic MFT cameras. I have removed the lens support because it was getting in the way, but I will include it in the sale.
- Focus lever - From RafCamera
- 2 x Silica Gel Dessicant by Pelican - To prevent fungus. When the balls become clear, reactivate the desiccant by putting it in the oven for 3 hours at 300 degrees
- Rear caps for all spherical lenses
- Custom plastic spacer ring - Used to sure up 50mm hold on anamorphic front before screw mod.
- Protective hard case
Here is a quick lens test made with this set:
If you look around my Vimeo account, you will find sample footage from all three lenses.
$4800. At this point, I am looking to sell this as a complete set. My eBay account has a score of 100% over the past 10 years and almost 200 transactions. I am just trying to avoid their fees and maybe save you some money too by selling it here. Free shipping to anywhere in the United States.
I have tried to be as thorough and honest in my listing as possible, but please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks for looking!
