Lomo & Sony PMW-F3

Looks interesting. I'd be very curious to see the images before any grading, to see any natural colour renditions or signatures by the lens. On my screen at least I found the lower tones to be rather crushed.

I have a Lomo (Photon) 37-140 remounted to PL mount. Don't have anamorphic adapter. Lens tends to flare, but as Peter has shown, flare can be put to very effective creative use.

looks nice but its lacking in image sharpness a ton. It seems like even the objects in focus have a doubling type look to them, nothing is really "in focus" its sort of on the cusp of being so. Thats the problem with old anamorphics though, they really aren't up to the quality. Also the de-squeezing seems to be slightly off, maybe another 2-3% in the hight would be better, seems like things are just a little too stretched in the image.

Yeah, the older lenses are very difficult to get in perfect focus. I'm using an Alphatron to correct this as much as possible. The aspect is however absolutely correct. It's been squeezed 50% and enlarged appropriately, otherwise it looks very ordinary on a 16:9 screen. I'm trying to get hold of a 35mm Lomo square front to compare the quality. If anyone has such a lens for sale with a PL mount, please let me know.
