Logo test

I really liked the clip, but to be honest, i dont really think its a logo... Its just the name of your company on a nice backdrop. Which is cool if thats how you like it, but imo it would be great to see the name transform into something that either fits the name or the backdrop... However, I really have no idea what kind of grafic to use for nuance...
 
I personally liked it. My only issue was it was kind of long for a logo. Or at least it felt that way to me. Maybe try trimming off a few seconds.
 
To get some seconds of you can go straight to black when you have the full background, and when it is black, show the name a few seconds less, it had been in the frame all time, so people will have noticed the name...

I liked it. I agree, it might be a bit long. There is something about the blowing curtains that didn't sit right with me though. I think maybe it is because they are grey and washed out. Didn't seem to work well with the vibrant and dynamic sunset. I wonder what black curtains would look like? The edges of the curtains looked a little too much like they were green screened. maybe some softer edges?

it's very cool - but once the curtain starts to pull open wide i don't think it should fall back into the frame like that...if you just kep it open at that point this would cut down on the length issue people mentioned. when it falls back into frame, it's like ok, i understand what i'm looking at and whats going on already, no need to repeat or tease any longer - let's get on with it.

Nice logo but please get rid of the curtain...makes it look cheap. Just my opinion.

I agree about the curtain. I would also add just a little Shine plugin if you have it to add some rays behind the words to shine forward.
 
Thanx for all the input guys, I really appreciate it. I am going to head back in to 3DS Max as soon as I get the chance and rework the whole thing a bit. I will do a few different tests (exploring some of your criticisms) and then see what comes out the best.

Too long.
Keep the curtains.
Just make each segment (curtains, logo, logo on black) shorter.
Time a few logos on DVDs for length. I think :10 is about right...?
 
...get rid of the curtain, get a better font, that looks like a font you pulled right off i-movie, and then add a reflection of the font in the water and it will look pretty nice.
