logging for 24pA project

Michael,
When logging tapes recorded with 24pA pulldown in a 23,976 project, can I just log then as I would any normal NTSC tape or should I always start capturing on a 0, 5, 10, 15, 25 frame so Avid Xpress Pro can know where to start removing the pulldown? For example: if I mark in on a frame 3, will Avid still be able to do the job and remove the correct unwanted fields?

If you log at will, I would suggest you select all clips before capturing and go to the "CLIP" menu and select "MODIFY PULLDOWN PHASE" it will default to "A" but make sure it is then click OK. It will automatically log the PULLIN for that cadence relationship as needed for all selected clips. Then make sure your FILM/24p Settings are set for ADVANCED cadence and you are good to go (now a Taco Bell trademark, I'm gonna get sued...)
