F35: Log Lut to REC 709 Lut

Hi
i have couple LUTs that come in only log color space. Those LUTs don't have rec709 versions. I have this multi cam shoot that i would like to match log style cams to rec709 cameras. I tried to convert rec709 files to log files with rec2tog LUT. The result wasn't acceptable.
So I am wondering if there is any application that can convert a given log LUT to rec709 color space.

thanks

Um, what cameras are we talking about here? Why are you doing multicam mixing log and 709? Why not set up the log camera (F35?) for 709? And are you talking about a post solution or a live recording set-up with a LUT box?

Check the appropriate threads for info on all the luts we have experimented with. There should be at least two threads about general grading workflows.

If you want to do this in post, I've been using a log to linear conversion input lut in Resolve and a linear to REC709 output lut. Does a mathematically correct conversion between whatever log curve, Resolve internal linear space, and REc709 output color space. If the camera log color space to linear is one of the ones in Resolve's lut directory, this works very well.

Hi Razz
Thank you so much for sharing your workflow, unfortunately these are custom made log luts, not for specific camera, but I will try anyways with random camera directory to see if REsolve can mathematically correct those to rec709 space.
