Log and Transfer not working...

Looking for some help. I originally tried to use the log and transfer function to import some p2 footage but when I told it to add the file nothing happens. I instantly thought something was wrong with my footage but then I tried it on another computer and it worked fine...
So I go to import some Canon 7d footage today, using the EOS plug in, and same thing, nothing happens. Any one have any idea what is going on? I have never had a problem before with p2 or 7d footage. I also haven't touched any settings. Working on Leopard and Final Cut 6.

What exact version of FCP on what computer running which OS version?

Has the L/T worked before, and then this problem arose? If so, have you changed or installed anything recently?

And the p2 volume was copied intact to your HDD including the lastclip.txt file?
 
fcp 6 log and transfer gas worked many many times before with both p2 and canon 7d footage.the p2 filles are intact. I ended up doing the whole project on another computer and everything worked fine. I haven't changed any settings since my last log and transfer when everything went smooth. I don't have fx factory or perian installed.
 
If L&T worked in the past then you may want to try and transfer the footage to your desktop and then use L&T from there instead of trying to transfer from your device. If you prefer to transfer direct from your unit and you haven't had a problem with it in the pass, look at the cable being used to connect your device to your computer and make sure there isn't a problem with it. If the cable isn't the problem then there may be a problem with the port itself. I would suggest trying to transfer from your desktop first.
 
May try that. I mean I can access everything from my hard drive just fine every where else on the comp just not through L and T. Feels like its broken our something haha. May just need a clean install of fcp.
