Hi everybody. Does anybody had similar problem like i have. I tried to use log and transfer in final cut pro 7 and it shows that catalog structure is wrong. I copied card to hard drive, so i though that something was not copied, but i put original card to card reader and i have the same. Other card card that i used during wedding i have no problem with that. Is any chance to check structure of the card or transcode to apple pro ress. Mpeg streamclip doesnt work...

What mode are you shooting with on the gh3? If you're shooting MOV, MPEG StreamClip will batch convert those files to ProRes (this is what I do.) Log & Transfer wont' work with those MOV files.

If you have the GH3 set on AVCHD, then Log & Transfer should work... but if it doesn't, ClipWrap can convert those files. I believe Adobe Media Encoder can as well...

I used avchd. Like I said both cards are recorded in the same format, and one doesn't work .It is wired. I've seen some info that it can happened if you took some pictures on the same card what i did. I tried to delet them but still doesn't work. I downloaded FCP X and it works with that. Looks like i need an upgrade to new software but i really don't like it.

If you used AVCHD, and FCP7 won't read it... something probably happened to the file structure of the card. FCP7 is super picky about AVCHD file structure, so it's best not to touch/move/rename anything.

If you don't want to purchase FCPX, you can grab a copy of ClipWrap or VoltaicHD and drop the MTS files (Located in SDHC CARD > Private > AVCHD > BDMV > STREAM) onto the application and convert to ProRes that way. If you're on Mountain Lion, the PRIVATE, AVCHD, and BDMV folders might show up as package files, rather than folders. Right or Control click them, and hit "show package contents" to reveal it as a folder.
