Locking the Shutter Speed in Creative Motion Picture mode?

Hey everybody. Is it possible to lock the shutter speed when the camera is in Creative Motion Picture mode so I don't change the shutter speed by mistake when I accidentally hit the front dial? This happened twice while I was shooting yesterday!

i have never had a problem with accidentally knocking the front dial. i actually have to make an effort to reach for the dial itself to make adjustments. you must have really big hands and fingers or moving your hand around alot whilst shooting.

Hit ae lock!

Hit ae lock!

In CMM if your not full manual it makes sense to hit ae(make sure it switched to lock on/off not just toggle with the press!)otherwise your aperture will be all over the place and clicking-bumping up-down. If your static hit ae lock too, then the camera is "locked down"

I'm with Filmkid. I am looking to find a way to lock shutter speed. It's far too easy to adjust it accidentally when you're looking to adjust f-stop.

In fact, when I turn on my camera in CMM (exposure set to M) shutter speed is always automatically highlighted as the thing to adjust. I'd love to figure out a way of changing that.
