Locking the C Drive

I am an assistant editor in London and my editors keep saving their work in Avid Xpress Pro and Adrenaline to the 'C' drive (all on PC). Meaning that I spend a good part of my evening copying over media to the appropriate external drives. Is there a way within Avid to lock the editors from saving anything to the 'C' drive? Thank you!

If they do NOT have admin rights, the only place they should be able to write to is My Documents and subfolders of it.

And My Documents can be moved to any drive. :) Right-click on My Documents in Explrer and select properties. It should give you a "Move" option.

Oh...this is for XP. If you haev an earlier version....don't know.

Turns out that I wasn't able to lock it because well the editors wanted it as a back up etc etc.

train them! just make sure everytime the open it up they are mapping to the correct drive!
