Locking Nikon - EF Mount?

This might be a bit generic for the LT forum, but I'm looking for something for my LT so I'm posting here for now - Is anyone using Nikon lenses on the EF mount on their LT? I just bought a Tokina 28-70 PRO I, the Angenieux copy from years ago, in Nikon mount. It came with a Fotodiox Nikon - Canon adapter, but there is so much play between the adapter and lens...I've become a bit of a mount snob with the locking mount on the LT, so this is driving me nuts. Does anyone out there have a suggestion on an adapter that doesn't have any play in it? Everything I've found has reviews on both sides, some complain of play in the mount, others say it's rock solid...I'm leaning towards Redrock right now:

I was also looking into Leitax conversions, is this the same as the Redrock? Anyone know if this is better/worse?

These procedures are bit more then I'm comfortable with, so I might give Duclos a call and see if they can help me. Don't want to have to send the lens out, but I'm probably better off doing that then installing the mount myself...I'm a klutz when it comes to this stuff, I'm sure I'd do something stupid to the rear element. Probably drop a screw on it.

Leitax mounts are super solid. My understanding is that the redrock is similar. But you really can't go wrong with the leitax. Installation was easy. You just need a high quality jeweler's screwdriver and a good amount of pressure to unscrew the existing mount.

Even the Fotodiox PRO version is decent although probably not as solid as the Leitax. If you need something right away and can't wait for the Leitax.

So I decided to go with the Leitax, and tried to install it today. Weird results though - The first ring of the leitax wouldn't line up with the holes on the lens. It was just far enough off to make it impossible for me to screw in more then one of the screws...only one hole would line up at a time. I don't know if this is due to the lens or maybe I received a faulty ring from Leitax, I'll have to reach out to them.

In any event, while trying to install this thing, I noticed that the screws on the lens itself were already pretty loose. And it turns out, this is what was causing the play - The wobble I was noticing came from the lens itself because those screws weren't tight enough. I tightened them completely and now the Fotodiox Pro adapter that came with the lens works great, super tight. Wish I had realized that sooner.
