just did some testing again with manual focus and peaking.
What peaking level you can "trust" the most?

I set it now at level -2 and if I see my subject his a bit colored I suppose it's in focus. I want to isolate as much my subject from the background.

So what our your settings or tips guys?

I use the built-in focus check tools primarily as a "sanity check". Get a good quality monitor (at least 7") and use your eyes.

But do I need the sdi for the monitor or not? Or is HDMI output good enough? I ask this because that monitor comes in 2 versions: HDMI or SDi

I use HDMI but many small monitors will accept either.
