I seem to remember people talking about a way to do this in the past but can`t seem to find the thread on it. Is there a way to lock your EOS lens aperture using the 7d and then removing the lens with the aperture locked at the f-stop you set and placing it on the AF-100 using a mechanical canon adapter.

If this is possible, if you could give me a quick breakdown of how to do it you would be doing me a huge favour

Cheers!

Hello,Just push and hold the depth of field-button while you detach the lens and you'll be able to lock the lens aperture. At least that's what I do on my Canon 5D MkII.Best,-terje

I've been shooting my Canon EF 70-200 and Tokina EF 11-16 for the last 10 months using that method with the 7D. A pain but it works using ISO 200-320-500 to adjust exposure along with ND filter wheel.
