Lock layer in AE.

Is it possible to lock a layer in your timeline so that it is always visible when you scroll through other layers?

For example, I have a lot of keyframes on a Null object that I'm translating so we can have a Spanish version as well. However, my project is now 750+ layers, and scrolling back up to the top to find the keyframes is getting old. I want to lock that Null so it's ALWAYS viewable. When I scroll down, I want it to be the layer at the top of my timeline so I can see those keyframes at all times. Does this make sense? I can make pictures if necessary.

I would look at using shy layers so only the ones your are working on are visible. It's the tab the looks like a little fat guy above the timeline.

shy would be best or you can have your layers be full screen if you hit the ~ key while your mouse is over the timeline. just use the same key to get out of it. I didn't know if you knew about that hot key but it helps with roto scoping too

Great guys, thanks! I honestly had no idea what the shy layers were. I'll give that a go when I get back to work Monday. I did Pre-comp a lot. i have it down to a meager 230 layers for the main comp. :-\
