Here are some dvx grabs, I was filming around town hoping to find some nice spots for an upcoming video shoot. The shutter was at 250 in 24pa, CC and black/white bars in Vegas.

that looks like vietnam. lol when i go location hunting i dont find **** like that every day. ahha nice.

Very nice.

I especially like the pyramid-like structure. You can do so much with that.

Nice location, can't wait to see what you do with it.

The spot I filmed at is about 40 minutes from Chicago in a town called Lockport, they used to pass boats there through canal locks a long time ago, thats why they have a couple dams and a bunch of neat stuff that they used to control the water, it's all old and abandoned but it looks neat. In the fall all the water dries up and you can get access to a lot of other things also.

thats really cool. We used to have public places like that in san francisco called the presidio but lucas purchased all the land so now its private. Go figure.

wow dude! those looks sweet. some of them, like the 7th grab, has this vignette type thing around it...is that from Vegas? awesome CC.

Yep, all the vignettes are from Vegas, when I wake up in the morning I will post how I made them. No extra lenses or adapters, all was straight dvx with plenty of tweeking in post.

Wow!

Those are really pretty locations you've picked so far. There is something that has to be said about the beauty and creativity about picking a good location.

What are you doing to create the vignettes in your grabs?

For the vignettes you open a new video track above your footage in Vegas, click on Insert - Generated Media, select Sony Color Gradient, then on Preset click Elliptical Transparent to black. Now click on the number 2 in the black circle and move the vertical slider down to change the opacity of the vignette, keep moving the 1 and 2 around and play with the opacity until you get something you like.
