Livestreaming with a Sony EX3

Was asked if I could Livestream a wedding for a friend, never thought of doing this with the EX3.

Best way I can think would be to set the EX3 to HDV and run it to my laptop through Firewire, then stream it through Ustream or a Flash Streaming Server.

I'm a bit out of my comfort zone here.

Anyone ever tried it?

Without affecting the recorded quality, why not take the composite output, feed that to an inexpensive composite wireless transmitter, and have a receiver nearby connected to an encoder/capture card that can do the streaming?

That sounds like a really good idea (especially for quality of image), am I right in thinking that the HDV and Composite data rates would be roughly the same though? Trying to keep it around the 500/kps mark at this stage as I'm unsure what connection options will be available to me.
