Live????

Okay guys, I am sure this has been asked, but I could not find it. I am finding myself doing more and more new things everyday outside of my film degree and doing a lot of media type stuff on top of filmmaking. So my questions is how or can I hook my DVX100B up to record live? Not stream live (but I could use that info. too, so please share), but record live video to my computer or something with using tape or a Firestore. I need this for the stationary camera during a concert. I will have two other roving cameras that will record to a tape and show up on screen (that I have figured out, sort of). But if you guys have other ideas, that are better or can school a newbie in this area, please share.

Thanks,

Connect firestore to camera with firewire. Press record on firestore. Press record on camera. Or did you mean record live to your computer and NOT a firestore? If you need to record live to a computer, start the capture software on your computer, hook the camera up via firewire, start recording on the computer, and roll the camera. Should be dead simple.

Not sure what you're asking or meaning by "live". It can also stream live. I do it at least once a month.
