Live Streaming with Projector

Hello guys,
There is an event that i'm filming and they want me to stream live with a stationary HMC150 to a SD projector. So researched trying to find how to stream live. I read about some software you need, or you gotta do it through your laptop, or VGA over CAT5 and what not...

1. Could anyone please teach me, in the simplest way, how to connect HMC150 to a projector in order to stream live? (I have a VGA cable and CAT5)(I don't need audio but just video)

2. Can I record while streaming live?

First, find out the input options of the projector you'll be using.

If it's older, it may have component inputs, and the 150 automatically outputs SD to that. If it's newer it may have HDMI.

So, this may be a no-brainer -- but -- you need to start by looking at the projector.

you may be able to go direct without a laptop. While streaming you can still record inside the camera. like the above poster mentioned..see what ports your cam and the projector have in common.

Guarantee you that it will have a composite input as well. You could run composite over Coaxial. You can get adapters for either BNC to RCA or threaded to RCA depending on the cable.

Would there be any latency using the HDMI output> I had that problem a couple years back at a live event using some "older" camera for IMAG.

I'm a 170 user and there is a setting to stream live or record. The record is a half a second delayed while live is live. I'm not sure if the 150 has a similar setting but if so make sure it is set to live. You should not have any problems if running 50 feet or less of hdmi

Use the composite video out on the HMC (the yellow one). Most projectors have composite video input.

This is only good for audio monitoring via the headphone jack.
