we do weddings for last many years on SD, where we plug 2-3 panasonic dv cameras into a mixer, that have an output to a dv recorder. but now we are going HD, we just bought 2 Panasonic hpx 300, and now looking for solution for doing the same thing on HD (live mixing 2 or 3 cameras). but the switcher i saw is like $30,000 on panasonic website. We dont have that much budget right now. what are other options I have. please help.
I posted same thing last year, is there something else new and cheap? it was my question. Now if i were panasonic i would make a box with 4 camera inputs, a lever for switching these cameras, a 10 TB removable hard drive , 2 moniters and price it under 10K. sigh!

This one does a good job at our church (you'll have to work out recording - maybe a nanoFlash): http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produ...00AN_AV_HS400A_Compact_Live_Multi_Format.html

Same here. But the DataVideo SE2000 has great features and is about 5K USD less. Also has 4 channel audio mixing built in (downmixes to stereo on output). It also has
dvi out to a preview monitor instead of sdi. The only thing it doesn't support is DSK and SD cameras

You could ouput to a AJA Ki Pro and still keep overall cost below 10K USD.
