I have been asked to submit a proposal for providing live video coverage of an upcoming event. My thoughts are to run HDMI over CAT5 from the HMC150 to the projector. I have researched that and feel pretty confident that will work for a run up to 100 ft, but I would like to hear if you see any issues with this appoach. I will definitely be testing this before the event just to be sure.
I've never done live feeds before and am wondering how to handle the situation where I need to reposition the camera. The best way I can think of is use my Manfrotto Iris controller to close down the Iris before a move. I assume the camera would still be sending a signal out the HDMI which would keep the projector from going into standby. Any flaws with this thinking?
